Former Big Brother Naija star Mike Edwards has unveiled his newborn son to the world.
Mike has been reeling in excitement over the past couple of days after his wife Perri Dayton put to bed a bouncing baby boy, which made the couple become parents for the first time.
The reality TV star took to his Instagram page on Friday, August 28, 2020, where he shared photos of his wife and their baby in the hospital.
He used the caption of the post to hail his wife for bringing their baby into the world safely.
“To my wife, @itspsd you’re nothing short of amazing, and I’m so proud to be your husband and twice as excited that you’re the mother to our baby boy,” he wrote.

Mike also used the medium to speak on the issue of high mortality rate among black women and how they should be protected. Ascribing further praise to his wife, the new dad noted that black women are five times more likely to die during childbirth.
“Black women are five times more likely to die in pregnancy and childbirth. In the words of John Boyega, ‘We need to care of them. They are us. They are our future. We cannot demonize our own. We are the pillars of the family.’ To my wife, @itspsd you’re nothing short of amazing, and I’m so proud to be your husband and twice as excited that you’re the mother to our baby boy.”
Mike Edwards was one of the housemates of the fourth edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show held in 2019.
He got married to olympian wife Perri back in 2018 in the UK where the duo were previously based before returning home to Nigerian
