The reality star says she was fired for simply demanding from her employer her unpaid wages.

Former Big Brother Naija star Tolanibaj has taken to social media to talk up the issue of bad employers by recounting how she was fired from her job for speaking up for her right.

The ex-housemate made this know on her Twitter page in contribution to a recent online discussion about how bad Nigerian employers treat their employees.

Tolanibaj who doubles down as a media personality recounted how a record label in Nigeria owed her several months of unpaid salary and she decided to embark on work strike in protest while continuing to ask for her money via e-mail.

However, her agitation did not provide the reaction she had hoped from the music label as they decided to fire her instead.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Baj stated further that the entertainment company tried to silence her by hiding the main reason why she was sacked.

“Yes! Thank you for speaking up. I got fired from a record label here in Nigeria for speaking up for my rights. I was owed for months & I stopped going to work & pled via email for my money. The music industry tried to silence me by trying to hide the MAIN reason why I got fired,” she tweeted.

She went on to advise those who have found themselves in situations like that to speak up and never cower in silence.

“Never be afraid to speak up for your rights,” the 27-year old chipped.

Tolanibaj was one of the housemates from the fifth season of Nigeria’s biggest reality show, Big Brother Niaja.
