However, unlike other developed countries, Nigerians are worried about staying at home with no electricity, finance, or decent healthcare arrangements in place.

At times like this, wealthy business individuals and organisations are donating money to the government to help fight against the pandemic, but Nigerians are not very happy about this. Despite Nigerians, pleading with the President to do something to help poor Nigerians they’re asking to stay at home, Celebrities such as Yul Edochie is pleading with the President to provide an economic relief package for Nigerians, as it will go a long way.
Making it clear that people are hungry and lockdown with no money will be challenging to keep people at home. Gucci master and billionaire, Hushpuppi is more concerned about the donations made over the past few days by Nigeria’s wealthiest individuals. He indirectly called out his fellow billionaires in Nigeria who announced on Social media that they would be making a considerable donation this critical times.
Hush Puppi Revelled that he is in contact with some major Orphanages and hospitals in Nigeria and sadly they lack majorly at this time. And this makes him wonder where all those privately donated funds will end up. So we ask, what funds are Hush Puppi talking about? Well, since the crisis, some famous Nigerian business individuals and billionaires have announced heartfelt donations to help Nigeria fight the illness which has forced everyone into a lockdown.
Atiku Abukar: Atiku Abukar was the first to pledge a donation after his son was reported positive. The former presidential candidate announced some of 50Million Naira as his contribution.
Tony Elumelu: On March 26, United Bank of Africa, Chairman, Tony. O, Elumelu took to Twitter to announce a donation of over 5 Billion Naira (14Million USD) through the UBA Foundation to catalyse a comprehensive pan-African response to the fight against the global crisis. He also explained how the finance is going to be distributed. (Explain) He further explained that they are keen to partner and contribute resources to the collective effort that will ensure the response to the illness is swift and effective.
Femi Otedola: On March 27, Billionaire bm Femi Otedola took to social media to announce that he will be contributing 1 Billion Naira toward the eradication of the illness across Nigeria.
Olusegun Obasanjo: Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday, March 27th, announced that his former residence at the Presidential Hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun State be used as Isolation centre. Obasanjo also said the 32-room facility had been handed over to the Ogun state government for immediate takeover.
Folorunsho Alakija: On March 30, Nigeria’s richest woman, The Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited, Modupe Folorunsho Alakija also pledged N1 Billion Naira to help the Federal Government tackle illness in Nigeria. And also encourage all Nigerians to follow stipulated health guidelines.
Mike Adenuga: The Mike Adenuga Foundation (MAF), established by business mogul, Dr Mike Adenuga Jr., also on March 30 donated the sum of N1.5 billion to the government to support Nigeria’s fight against the pandemic.
