Speaking about the awards show Simon said: ‘I am honoured to be co-presenting the 2018 Investing in Ethnicity Awards.

Among the nominations are The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, who is up for the Inspiration Public Figure award opposite Letitia Wright, Mohamed Salah, Alesha Dixon, Gemma Chan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Babita Sharma and Ore Oduba.

Her wedding to His Majesty Prince Harry has also been recognised, with a nod for Media Moment of the Year.

Another star-studded category is the one for Influencer, which sees The Good Place star Jameela Jamil nominated against model Adwoa Aboah.

Legendary singer Grace Jones also joins the star-studded nominations lineup, as she could receive the Legacy Award.

Simon also tied the knot with his PA girlfriend Ayshen Kemal in August, in a lavish London ceremony which saw all of his Blue band-mates in attendance.

The couple – who have been dating for three years – first announced their engagement in February last year, when Simon popped the question on a Valentine’s Day Jamaican getaway.
