Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, recently got social media buzzing following reports that he lost his beloved father, Alhaji Kunle Okuneye, to the cold hands of death. According to close family and friends, the aged father of the Nigerian male Barbie passed in the early hours of August 14. Amidst tears, hours later, Bobrisky’s father was buried under Islamic funeral rites in Ijebu-Igbo, the family hometown in Ogun State.
Two months before his father’s passing, Internet Sensation went under the knife to enlarge his backside again, sparking massive reactions from fans who wondered if his father and family approved of his controversial lifestyle. As usual, the self-acclaimed mummy of Lagos snubbed them all, and just a few hours before his father passed, he posted on social media that he needed a bikini. Following his father’s sudden demise, the 31-year-old social media personality took to his Instagram page to share the sad news with fans. In a video that emerged later on the internet, the Unilag graduate was spotted in a black jalabia and scarf at the funeral, looking solemn and teary while concealing his face throughout the ceremony.
Surprisingly, the sad news has failed to elicit the usual sympathy from Nigerians. Reacting, many have resorted to blaming Bobrisky for his father’s untimely and sudden passing to the great beyond. A recent check on his Instagram page shows that the self-acclaimed Nigerian male Barbie had taken down most of the posts, leaving only a few.
