Award-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has for the fourth time won the Best International Act for the Bet Awards.
On Sunday night, the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
Burna Boy, who wasn’t present at the show, won the Best International Act, and his mother’s manager, Bose Ogulu, received the award on his behalf.
With his win, Burna Boy is now the most awarded person in the Best Awards “Best International Act” category. He has won the award four times.
The Grammy-winning singer beat the likes of Ayra Starr, Stormzy, Aya Nakamura, and others to clinch the award.

This is no doubt a winning year for Burna Boy, as just days ago he performed at UEFA.
Burna Boy performs at the UEFA Champions League final
It was reported last month that Burna Boy made headlines as he performed on stage before the start of the UEFA Champions League final. The football match was between Inter Milan and Manchester City.
The match will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on June 10, 2023.
The singer thrilled football fans with an electrifying performance as he performed some of his hit records, including the global chart-topper Last Last.
Burna Boy performed alongside Brazilian singer Anitta as fans jumped off their seats in excitement.
In a video shared on social media, Burna Boy was seen enjoying the moment, as were fans at the stadium.
Speaking out following his performance, Burna Boy stated that he is sitting on top of the world.
