Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy has finally opened up about how he felt after his near miss at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
Recall that Burna Boy was a nominee at the 62nd Grammy Awards in the ‘Best World Music Album’ category for his hugely successfully ‘African Giant’ album but eventually lost out on the prestigious award to legendary African singer Angelique Kidjo.
It appears the singer is finally over his loss as he recently opened up to fans on social media about feeling ‘totally sick’ upon losing the award.
Burna Boy made this known after a fan quizzed him on how he felt about his Grammy loss in a Q & A session via his Twitter page on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
The Odogwu crooner admitted that he felt really sick but was encouraged by Angelique Kidjo who deepened his knowledge of the Grammy by explaining to him everything he needed to know.
He also used the medium to announce that he is working on a new album titled ‘Twice as Tall’ and it would be released in July in the absent of any complication.
Sick. Totally sick. But my musical Mother @angeliquekidjo told me everything I needed to understand about the Grammys. So now I’m “Twice as Tall” (that’s the name of my next Album by the way dropping in July by the grace of the most High) https://t.co/JKExPQMROe
