Popular Nigerian comedienne Helen Paul is reportedly set to become a professor in the United States of America.
Helen is currently taking a postdoctoral programme at an undisclosed university in the US, according to The Nations.
A source close to the actress told the publication that she’s been juggling her time between Nigeria and the US as she studies to become a professor.
“Yes, Helen Paul has been shuttling
between Nigerian and the US for some months now,” the source says. “While studying to become a Professor, she is also working as a lecturer in one of the institutions in the US.
“She is really an inspiration to this generation because combining these academic feats with her comedy career in Nigeria is no child’s play.”
Her quest to become a high ranking academic comes barely a year after she emerged as Nigeria’s first popular stand-up comedian to bag a doctorate degree.
She bagged a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos back in 2019.
