Netflix has suspended production of its Netflix Naija original series following series of coronavirus outbreak in the country.
In a bid to curb the further spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 virus, Netflix will halt production of its anticipated December release of the Netflix Naija original series according to insiders’ reports.
The streaming platform made the announcement to its cast and crew on Sunday, March 15, 2020, after its superior US counterpart suspended all ongoing production in the US and Canada.
Netflix Naija is yet to release any official statement concerning the temporary suspension place on the Akin Omotoso directed series.
This latest development happens after more confirmed cases of the coronavirus by the Nigerian government brought the total number of positive cases to 22 in the country as of Saturday, March 21, 2020.
