Singer Davido Adeleke who recently lost his son Ifeanyi has unfollowed billionaire businessman Femi Otedola and his daughter DJ Cuppy on Instagram. This is coming after the Afrobeats star unpinned his Instagram posts promoting his upcoming music events. His fans noticed that he did a few unfollow during the time.
Davido has over 25.8M followers on his verified Instagram page and followed 1,677 people before the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke. The singer has made changes, and unfollowed three (3) accounts from his followers.
This comes merely days after the billionaire businessman celebrated his birthday on a yacht together with his family members, whereas Davido, a family friend, mourned the death of his first son.
Ifeanyi Adeleke reportedly passed away on October 31st after a drowning incident at this father’s Banana Island home. The toddler who turned three years old sadly drowned just less than ten days after celebrating his birthday.
“The boy was inside water for too long, and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” Source close to the family revealed.
Ifeanyi Adelek was taken to Evercare Hospital in Lekki and sadly was pronounced dead on arrival.
In the wake of all this, Davido unfollowed Femi Otedola and his daughter, DJ Cuppy, who via her page sent condolosense messages to Davido and Chioma.

The business tycoon boarded his family on the world’s first and largest superyacht, “Christina O” which was famously owned by Greek billionaire Aristotle “Ari” Onassis.
Femi Otedola had spent 3 million pounds, which is about a 2.2billion Naira, to rent Aristotle Onassis’ Christina O super luxury yacht ahead of his 60th birthday.
Possible Reason Why Davido Is Not Happy With The Otedolas
One of the commenters queried why Femi Otedola would be celebrating his birthday on water, knowing well that Davido lost his first son by drowning. Despite DJ Cuppy havening a great time, she posted on her page that she is thinking of Davido and Chioma. Did she try to reach out to them or only posted on social media?
Identified as Fair pantherlol, he wrote, “As he is richer than David nobody is gonna say how dare you celebrate your birthday on water when Ifeanyi died inside water”
Another user identified as Sweetlikecupcake wrote, “Where are those people saying people shouldn’t move on because Ifeanyi is dead. Oya food is ready”.
