Popular Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo aka Dbanj has pleaded his innocence over the sexual allegation levelled against him by a young Nigerian lady.
Dbanj is currently under police investigation after he was accused of raping a young lady identified as Seyitan Babatayo. However, the music star has now moved to distance himself from the accusation.
In a video shared via his Instagram page today being Monday, June 22, 2020, Dbanj stated expressly that he is innocent until proven guilty. He also asked the online community to stop calling him out on the basis of the sexual allegation.
Writing further, the Olorun Maje crooner went on to use the opportunity to lend his voice towards the campaign against rape and other crimes against humanity.
“Innocent until proven guilty…., stop the social media trial. Say no to rape and human rights violation,” he wrote.

The rape incident is said to have occurred at a hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, in December 2018, according to Seyitan’s close friend.
