Divas Of Colour 2015

Divas of colour 2015 in association with Lebara Mobile and Dr Kem to bring top named women of colour to London this Saturday the 21st. Divas of colour is the largest gathering of world’s most powerful women of colour from around the globe. A special day to recognise, reward, celebrate and discover the best of women of colour.

The day kicks off at 12noon with a trade show and exhibition with 20 different brands showcasing this year also will be going head to head for votes to become the Diva Brand of the year. A free entry day event is expected to have over 300 guests from diverse background. Several brands ranging from skincare, cosmetics, health, fashion, homeware and  bakery brands are all represented.

3 outstanding designers to showcase their collection as the fight to win the Diva Designer of the year. Their designs will adorn the 9 beautiful young women going head to head in the bid to win the Diva Face title for 2015.

High profile men and women have also been confirmed to attend the evening including Winston Ellis of Pirates of the Caribbean, Prof Elizabeth Anionwu, Mandy Sanghera UN honour base crime activist, Cllr Anna Mbachu of Waltham council, Cllr Kate Anolue, Emer O’Neill Chief executive of Depression Alliance, our chosen charity.

The evening ceremony will quickly move on with an extravagant red carpet and wine reception, speeches addressing Depression in women and fundraising for our chosen charity. Speakers include the Chief Executive of Depression Alliance – Emer O’Neill, Mandy Sanghera and keynote speech presented by Cllr Anna Mbachu. Faustina Anyanwu, the founder in her speech is expected to address the issue of degradation of women especially in the case of rape, forced marriages, child bride, touching mostly how women could take back their power by embracing their primary role in the society with grace and dignity.

There will be performances from top class artists including BEFFTA best Afrobeats talent,Valentine Afrobeat,  Comedy by Oyinbo Princess, dance and choreography from one of Africa’s best in the UK.

10 categories of award to be given to outstanding achievers , including Lifetime achievement awards recognitions to Prof Elizabeth Anionwu, Veteran journalist Sherry Ann Dixon. Women of honour recognition to Rep Dee Dawkins-Haigler of USA state of Georgia representative, Cllr Mbachu and Cllr Kate Anolue. Other awards will be results will be revealed on the night. Including Inspirational Diva, Entrepreneur Diva, Diva Author, Diva presenter, Diva Make up artist, Outstanding Diva and  Diva Ambassador.  Expected to witness the glorious night of glam, beauty, celebration and inspiration are over 250 guests .

The event will be held at Hilton Hotel Docklands Riverside, 265 Rotherhithe street, London. SE16 5HW .
