The highly successful 5th edition of Divas of Colour festival 2018 was a huge success. The high profile studded 2-day event which took place on the 24th and 25th of March attracted influencers, entrepreneurs, CEOs, Designers, business from across the border.
Day one of the two-day festival kicked off with the trade exhibition and fashion show on Saturday 24th March held at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth ii Centre, Westminster (QEii).
The highlight of the included a rousing performance by the MOBO award-winning gospel singer/songwriter, Lurine Cato, whose powerful vocals and thrilling performance kept the audience on their feet all through as they danced and sang along to the beautiful popping melodies. 7-year-old Jidechi stole the hearts of the audience as she makes her modelling debut for Designers Ankara and The A Concept by Afua Sam. The little darling warmed the hearts of all cheering spectators. Bless her.

Day two saw great and powerful women from around the world including – Publisher of The Voice Newspaper, Founder and CEO of Spectrum Telecomms, Jenny Holt, Co-founder of Worldremit, Catherine Wines and a team of staff as well as, Dawn Butler MP, Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, who was the guest of honour receive the ‘Women of Honour recognition and gave her keynote speech amongst plethora of speeches from the line up of internationally renowned speakers who deliver talks on the Mental Health awareness campaign – tagged – Mind Your Mind.
Among the speakers during the mental health conference which preceded the award dinner were – Rev Juliet Okoye – PhD scholar, Sue Plumtree (Relationship expert) Bernie Adufe (Personal experience with mental health flew in from Ireland), Diana Benskin (Author, flew in from the USA).
Winners were announced, celebrated and had the opportunity to tell their personal stories of struggle and success.
