The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally shown off their son, Archie after his royal christening which took place on Saturday, July 6th. The adorable little man’s face was seen clearly for the first time.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury – the same person who confirmed Meghan before marrying into the royal family last year. The intimate ceremony, involving just 25 guests, took place in the Queen’s Private Chapel at Windsor Castle, preventing widespread media access to the occasion.

In the family photo, baby Archie can be seen front and centre, being held by his mum, wearing a replica of the iconic Honiton lace christening gown worn by more than 60 royal babies. The gown was first commissioned by Queen Victoria for the baptism of her first child, Princess Victoria, in 1841, but in 2004 it was deemed too fragile, and Queen Elizabeth requested a replica to be made.
