Nigerian Police Force has proceeded with the interrogation of renowned businessman and chairman of Five Star Group, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known E-Money, over his reported mismanagement and abuse of escort officers.
E-Money has gone from enjoying police privilege to being interrogated by men of the security unit within the space of a few days. According to reports, the music mogul was interrogated for about six hours by the Monitoring Department of the inspector-General.
“E-Money, who is the brother of Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo aka K-Cee, visited the Force HQ annex yesterday and met with police detectives and was grilled for about six hours. He came along with two others and responded to many questions. Somebody took his bail and he was allowed to leave and return on Wednesday for more questioning,” a police source told The Punch.

This development comes after the Inspector-General of police, Mohammed Adamu, had ordered the immediate withdrawal of E-Money’s batch of police escort over alleged complaints about his mismanagement of the officers.
The IG is also said to have ordered a probe into his flamboyant lifestyle and the source of his money.
