YOUTH EDUCATOR & PAN-AFRICAN LIFE COACH MAKING BLACK LIVES MATTER
Suraj Odekunle, a former victim of male abuse, gang crime, foster care & homelessness but overcame adversity and is teaching young people the know-how to do the same. Creating cultural waves within the community, Suraj believes in opening yourself up to receive the full healing so he decided to create a platform called ‘The Man In The Mirror’ which is a project that assists & supports youth programmes within the UK.
His newest project focuses on the problems he’s faced while promoting the documentary for schools & youth organisations. As well as
assisting organisations and entrepreneurs who have services or products provided to the youth.
The platform involves one 2 one counselling sessions, live panels and educational cultural events.
Suraj has been featured on Ben TV, GKTV, Genesis, Urban Jazz & Conscious Radio to name a few.
The next cultural event is ‘Family Empowerment Day’ on April 30th
“Telling my story has been cathartic and has inspired me to want to help others who have had similar experiences. The key aspect is to inform other young people that difficulties in life can be overcome if you believe in yourself.
