Award-winning artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has spoken out on the aftermath of his son Ifeanyi’s death.

In an interview with Vanguard newspaper, Davido revealed that he still cries every morning whenever he thinks of his son.

He noted how many expected his latest album, ‘Timeless,” to have a sad theme because of the loss of his son, but he opted for “bangers”.

On his source of strength, the Afrobeat singer stated that he has to be strong for Ifeanyi’s mother, Chioma Rowland, who is his wife.

He added that the love he receives from people also keeps him going, and he believes his son and his late mother are dancing to his songs in heaven.

“I miss him every day, there are tears coming out of my eyes every morning, you don’t have to see it.

I look at myself in the mirror and I said apart from it just being about me, I know how many people have me. I know how many people are depending on me.

My son up there is looking down at me. Apart from me being strong for his mom, which is my primary responsibility. I have to be strong for the world”.

Weeks ago, Davido spoke out for the first time about losing his son and loved ones.

During his media rounds for his latest album, Timeless, Davido revealed that LCND, a song from his album, was dedicated to his lost loved ones.

According to him, losing his mother at 10, his bodyguard, and his best friend within the space of two years, and then his son, was too much for him to bear.

Though they might be gone, the singer stated that he still feels them around him and that they will always be with him. They were the inspiration behind his song, LCND.
