It looks like the popular Nigerian culture of spraying money and watching it drop like heavy rain as party goes step on it while having a good time is about to end. This comes after the Nigerian government decided to use 31-year-old Nollywood actress and businesswoman Oluwadrasimi Omoseyin, popularly known as Simisola Gold, to set an example. However, the government banned the spraying of Naira notes at parties since 2018 and announced that party goes risk going to jail for up to six months or might pay up to N50,000 fine if found guilty.

Again in December of 2022, The CBN warned and reminded Nigerians that abusing the naira notes was liable to jail time. It looks like not everyone got the memo and money spray Culture contained, especially with Nigerian celebrities and elites. The Nigerian Central Bank CBN introduced newly redesigned Naira notes on November 23, 2022, and by January of 2023, the new mint notes were in circulation. While Nigerians were trying to get their hands on the new notes before the deadline for old ones, Nollywood actress Simi Gold was spotted at a party, spraying away the new mints like nobody’s business.
