‘Financial Freedom is a ”Must” For Women’ – Toke Makinwa Says in Open Letter

Prominent Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has penned an open letter to women, reminding them of the need to be financially independent.

Toke Makinwa is of the opinion that the new generational woman ‘must’ strive to secure their financial freedom.

The vocal radio girl made this know in a series of post on her Instagram stories on Monday, June 22, 2020. In her post, Toke admonished women to aim for the sky while in pursuit of their goals.

Using herself as the prime example of what it means for a woman to be financially buoyant, the on air personality revealed that she bought her dream home at the age of 35 after acquiring major properties.

She also made her female fans to understand that wealth acquisition is not meant for only the men as every woman can acquire the amount of money they so desire.

Her post reads in part:

“Dear woman, i see you, you rock.
Keep raising the bar, keep shattering the ceiling. Keep pushing that envelope. Financial freedom is a ”must” for us women. Being able to do for yourself certainly has to be the goal. It’s nice to have help, it’s nice to come from wealth but it is importatnt to raise women to believe that wealth is not gender based.”
