Nigerian dancehall singer, Patoranking won the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) Best New Act Transformed by Absolut Award at the Africa music award which took place on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in South Africa. The young artist, 25, took to social media (Instagram) to share his excitement with an emotional message. He recalls his success story of rising from the slums to success saying :
“From the slum to the world…God bless you my fans worldwide we won. #BestNewAct #MAMA2015 #Whayasay!!!”
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If ou love what you are doing, you will be successful. God bless you guys.” He added.
This is another one of Nigeria’s dream chasers who never gave up his dream. Patoranking is not ashamed to talk about how he slept on the streets of lagos before finding fame. Today he doesn’t only hang-out with top African music entertainers and beyond, he is also an ambassador for top brands.
