Barely 24 hours after PDP nominated the actress and four others for the Lagos State Deputy Governorship ticket, JJC Skillz, her husband of 6 years, announced that they are parting ways for good. In the June 30th Instagram post, the singer-now actor/producer confirmed rumours that the mother-of-2 kicked him out of her Amen Estate mansion. Even though they made a joint appearance at the AMVCA on May 14, 2022, to quell the rumours, JJC Skillz said he couldn’t get Funke to sit down and resolve their marital issues.
Since news of the actress’s broken marriage went viral, it has generated a lot of social media buzz. Benito, her husband’s son, has been waving the “I told you so” card while her former boss, Babatunde Gbadamosi has been mocking her for “Chopping Breakfast, Last Last.” Also, Funke Akindele fans have been expressing disappointment over reports that she ruined her second chance at love and marriage with her ego and success.
