Nse Ikpe-Etim on the most challenging part about bringing the script to life?

Every project has challenges because every new role comes with a new character one has to embody, and that is where challenges lie for me as an actress. Playing “Donna” was exceptionally challenging because “Glamour Girls” is a title that comes with nostalgia and big shoes to fill. Anyhoo, this is Glamour Girls in these times, and it is very humbling that I got to play “Mama Bear” Donna…

At 18, Etim started acting on stage at the university. Her first television appearance was in the family soap Inheritance. After her graduation from university, she temporarily left the film industry to venture in other endeavours before making a comeback with Emem Isong’s Reloaded alongside Ramsey Nouah, Rita DominicIni Edo and Desmond Elliot.

In December 2019, Nse Etim was featured in the Visual Collaborative Polaris catalogue, under the Supernova series for humanities, she was interviewed alongside people such as; William CouponBisila Bokoko and Ade Adekola.

In 2020 she was in the cast of Quam’s Money, a follow-up to the 2018 film New Money directed by Tope Oshin. The follow-up story follows what happens when a security guard (Quam) suddenly becomes a multi-millionaire. The new cast was led by FalzToni TonesJemima OsundeBlossom Chukwujekwu and Nse Ikpe-Etim.

February 2021 however had her playing in a lead role alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo and Zainab Balogun in Seyi Babatope movie direction, Fine Wine

Sharon Ooja on the message in the film “Glamour Girls” connects with current events and what it seeks to address

Glamour girls is a movie about the fast life and the consequences that come with it. It addresses the fact that all that glitters isn’t gold and how hard work pays… a lot of people want things fast without working hard.

Sharon was listed as a top female celebrity of 2020 and a Nollywood actress to look forward to in 2021. Sharon Ooja was among many others selected by Netflix to represent Nigeria in the program organized titled “The Bridgerton Affair” in South Africa

Segilola Ogidan on what she hates most about her character

I don’t hate her per se. She’s beautifully flawed, which is not necessarily her fault but due to her upbringing and the lack of love and attention shown to her by her parents and siblings. That said, I dislike some of her character flaws, particularly her lack of control over her life because she’s constantly drugged up.

Her career began when she decided to start training professionally for a career in film. After school, she did a lot of internships until she got a job as a development executive at a film sales and distribution company in London. She landed a gig on a series in 2009 for a year and did a few huge theatre films too. She has produced a lot of movies and also acted in quite a number of them since.

Joselyn Dumas on what she loves about the character she played

Jemma’s heart. As I say, she’s the truth and the spice. She’s good to a fault; when she loves, she loves to bits. You see her strip off all sorts of emotions. We see her vulnerable moments, highs, lows and everything in between and through it all, staying strong amid her adversaries.

Her role in Perfect Picture made a lasting impression on the director which led to subsequent key roles in other movies. Her big break came two years later in the Shirley Frimpong-Manso movie series Adams Apples. The role of “Jennifer Adams” in Adams Apples got her nominated for Best Actress in a lead role alongside Hollywood Actress Kimberly Elise at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards. Ever since Joselyn Dumas came unto the acting scene in Ghana. She has played key roles in movies and series such as Love or Something Like ThatA Sting in a TalePerfect PictureA Northern Affair and Lekki Wives. She has starred alongside some of Africa’s actors, including John DumeloMajid Michel of Ghana and OC Ukeje of Nigeria.

Toke Makinwa on how it feels to be part of the project

I feel so honoured and extremely blessed to have been a part of such an epic movie. As we all know, Glamour girls is one of the movies that shaped Nollywood in the 90s. You can’t think of old Nollywood movies without mentioning Glamour girls because it was sensational. The remake in these present times will be even more sensational, and I get to play one of the lead characters too. I can’t wait for the world to watch this amazing project.

In 2013, Makinwa became an ambassador of the United Africa Company of Nigeria, alongside Osas IghodaroDare Art Alade and Dan Foster. She also signed a multi-million naira contract with Nestlé Nigeria to become the new face of Maggi. In 2016, she became the brand ambassador and face of Mecran Cosmetics. She has also been an ambassador for Payporte and Ciroc. In November 2019, Toke signed an endorsement deal as brand ambassador with Oppo mobile Telecommunications In 2021, Toke signed an endorsement with Showmaxnaija as the host for BBN season6 the buzz
