It appears popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy has something to be cheerful about following the news that his show in South Africa, the African Unite Concert, has reportedly been canceled by organizers aimed unrest.
On Tuesday, November 20, organizers of music most prestigious award ‘The Grammy’ officially released nominations for its 62nd edition scheduled to take place in 2020. And Burna boy’s record-breaking album ‘African Giant’ was nominated in the ‘Best World Music Album’ category.
Other nominations in the same category includes: Angelique Kidjo for “Celia,” Altin Gün for “Gece,” Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for “What Heat,” and Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for “Fanm
D’Ayiti.”
The Ye singer follows in the footsteps of Seun Kuti, Femi Kuti and King Sunny Ade in getting nominated in that category at the Grammy Awards.
