Social media personality Daniel Regha has advocated for singer Olamide over his impact on the music industry, which many undermine.

As Eedris Abdulkareem credits himself with paving the way for the industry, which many younger artists disagree with, Daniel is speaking up for Olamide.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, now known as X, Daniel noted how Olamide has impacted many artists’ careers, elevated them, mentored them, and inspired some new generation artists.

Daniel stated that when it comes to paving the way for his colleagues, no one from his set comes close, but he is barely given due credit. He lamented over the rate at which people belittle his impact in the industry, which he considers upsetting.

“Olamide has impacted many artists’ careers, then went ahead to elevate, mentor, & inspire some new-generation artists; When it comes to paving the way for his colleagues, no one from his set comes close, but he’s barely given due credit. The rate at which people belittle his impact is upsetting”.

Netizens took to his comment section to concur with him, as they agreed on how the singer was undermined.

One Star Girl wrote, “Olamide is a man of the people. He’s not after games and awards. He’s doing his music steadily and helping as much as he can.

Over the years, Olamide has impacted the lives of Zlatan, Naira Marley, T.I Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Portable, Skales, Phyno, Jaido P, Asake, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, CDQ, and others.

Weeks ago, J. Brandy, a member of the YBNL music label, took to Twitter to celebrate the influence of Olamide on the Nigerian music scene. This acknowledgement highlighted Olamide’s role as a mentor and a key figure in the development of many Nigerian artists’ careers.

In his tweet, J. Brandy expressed deep respect for Olamide, suggesting that without his impact, the trajectory of many Nigerian artists would have been vastly different.

Zlatan, who was first signed to Olaminde’s label, YBNL, had recounted his impact on his life, attesting to how Olamide had changed his life and the lives of many.

He revealed that Olamide had reached out to him via Instagram and had taken him to another state to record his first song, which became a hit. Praising him, Zlatan noted how Olamide never made noise or talked about his numerous achievements.

Also, legendary singer 2baba gave flowers to Olamide, expressing how excited he was to be in the presence of greatness.

Hailing Olamide, he praised him for being a real one, a trailblazer, a humble, gentle, rugged, and super-talented African giant. He noted how Olamide is a true blessing to many and the entire movement, and he is also very focused.
