Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo is marking the posthumous birthday of award-winning singer Davido’s first son, Ifeanyi, whom he shares with his wife, Chioma.

The toddler drowned on October 31st, a few days after his third birthday, and was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was gathered that his parents, Davido and Chioma, had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan and had left Ifeanyi with his minders, who couldn’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

It’s been a year since the toddler passed away, and the investigative journalist is marking what should have been his fourth birthday today.

Taking to her Instagram page, Kemi noted how Ifeanyi would have been 4 years old today as she recounted the details of his painful demise.

Kemi revealed that the estate to date still denied that Ifeanyi was drowned in any of their properties and that Ifeanyi was buried secretly.

“OCTOBER 20th 2019

David Adeleke’s 4th child Ifeanyi would have been 4 years old today. The child reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at his rented Banana Island home on Halloween October 31, 2022. The estate however still denies till today that no one drowned on any property in their estate. The child was secretly buried in an unknown location”.

Despite his demise, his parents have new reasons to be happy, as they welcomed twins this month.

Davido first hinted at the birth of his twins’ when he declared the week as the best in his life.

A video later surfaces of Chioma and Davido leaving the hospital with their bundle of joy.

Confirming the news at an event, the music star revealed how he and Chioma found out about the news, which left them shaking.

Describing it as crãzy, he noted how his twins were born the same month his late son, Ifeanyi, was born.

Meanwhile, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who had also confirmed the rumors, shared details about the twins’ birth.

Kemi disclosed that Chioma delivered twins—a boy and a girl—on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, US.

She claimed that Chioma, who had been on bed rest for 90 days, welcomed her twins through a cesarean section (CS) at 38 weeks.
