The Nigerian Popular musician Ice Prince Zamani has been arrested by the Lagos state police command for abduction and assaulting a police officer.
At 7:52am on Friday, 2nd September, 2022, It was announced that the popular musician Ice Prince was seized at about 3a.m on Friday by police officers for driving without a license plate and set to be arraigned today, 2 September.
Ice Prince who initially agreed to be taken to the station went on abducting the police officer in his car, “assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the lagoon.“
The arrest was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin. He said Ice Prince has been arrested and would be arraigned today.
Hundeyin announces via a Twitter post, it reads…
“At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.“
