Oliver Eze

When did you realise that you can be the next hot fuzz?

I was born with it, infact!  i think its destiney. i’ve always wanted to join the movie industry, it was just a matter of time. I took my first big step last year. I also practised theater for a while, realising that i have what it takes, decided to face the camera and get into Nollywood.

Why do you want to be a Nollywood actress in particular?

I have so much love for the Nollywood movie industry. I was brought up with Nollywood movies, i got really into it, I So much enjoyed watching the actors then. I will be happy to be part of the industry some day and see the younger generations look up to me.

What do you think of Nollywood now that you’ve tasted it?

Nollywood back in the days wasn’t what they are now. The are doing a very great work now. When you are not in there, you think is very easy bom bom bom, and a movie is done. but when you are in there, you will experience how difficult it can be. especially working with people for the first time. you try to give your best, get along, there is pressure, but then when its something you really like, like i as an example, when its something you really like doing, you try your best to fit in. There were so many movie premieres in the UK last year, they were beautifuly done, creating awareness. I respect all the new producers and directors and everyone who is making it happen.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ROSELINE SANNI AJOSE

CEO Inspiration Production UK

Roseline is busy producing her first movie LABO (Life is a Journey). She is a young talents mother of two, a nurse, and an actress turned producer. She is based in London and currently travel out to Nigeria and Ghana for movie production.

ADM: When was LABO written?
The movie was written in 2009. It was meant to be produced it in 2012, but we couldn’t because of circumstance.

ADM: What is the movie all about? can you give us a synopsis?
LABO (Life is a journey) An afrocaribbean/British film emphasizes on families issues, relatinship and marriage between two foreigners and young offenders leaving abroad. A family leaving in London for a very long time decides to move back home to Nigeria, convinecing their grown up children to go with them, is it going to work?
We tried to establish that as migrants, we shouldn’t forget our country, culture and background. Even if you don’t like your country any more, don’t condemn it, because

their are people who are making it there. The film talks about foregin marragies, it doesn’t matter where you are from, my step mom in the movie is a Jamican and father blamed her for every ill doing, emphasizing that as a Jamican, she is too soft with children and doesn’t have any culture. but then it’s never about culture, it’s about understanding people. LABO looked into young offenders who get in trouble abroad, and how their life can be such a mess after going to jail, it gets very difficult getting a job, studies and relationship.

ADM: What inspired you to make this movie?
Going back home in nigeria in 2010,I found everywhere in a mess and strange, I leaved in the UK for 14 Years before going home. The houses, the cars, the poeple, were all strange, that was one of my inspirations, don’t leave home for too long, keep intouch, go if you can. Secondly, I belive it’s a calling from God to set up my production company. I am a qualified theater student, a nurse and a mother. These three jobs are a big challage and achiving my dreams sounds fabulous.

ADM: Leaving in London, how do you compete with being a Nurse, Mother, Actress and a Producer?
Yes it is a very big challange, some times i don’t get to see my kids for 2 -3 days, i sometime do longs days. when not at the hospital, i’m out making my films. it’s a real tough challange for me as a young mom. but I belive in the long run, it will work out for me.

ADM: Why is LABO unique? what makes it stand out from other Nollywood films?
I am a very unique person. Most Nollywood films we watch is always about love, marraige, ritual and things that are not real. LABO highlight real life issues. Most of us are all migrant to foreign countries, we shouldn’t forget our root, a lot of people do and this is a film to make them think twice. The issue of marriage, our parents don’t like their children getting married to people from different ethnic and culture and automaticaly think that the marriage wouldn’t work. but like i said before, its not about culture, its about understanding. These are part of the things that make LABO unique.

ADM: Does LABO has what it takes to wow audience?
Yes it does, espacially the guy that played gold. (Wale Oduduwa) his looks alone is enough. such a funny guy. Dejumo Lewis makes me laugh. Jide Kosoko was such a comedian, he couldn’t stop talking, I enjoyed working with them so much. they have also got so much experience in the movie industry. They know what movie making is all about, working with them was a fantastic honour.

ADM: You worked with old and new actors, did they get along so well?
Not really, at a point, some of the older ones spoke and I qout “All you young stars, you just want to do your own thing.look at what you are wearing“. But we reply, telling them it was in Vouge [she laughs] but some of them were really cool and didn’t mind. The world is moving and we have to try and move on with it.

ADM: How challanging did you find it working in Nigeria?
Yes it was challanging. Femi Fadeyi is a co-producer and writer of the movie as well. he made things much easier for me. without him things might get though. it’s good to know someone who can help out, mostly when you’re not based in Nigeria.

ADM: Most producers are moving to UK recently, is London the new home for Nollywood?
Yes, thou it might be a bit challanging. filming in Nigeria, is so much easier, when you’re filming, you can close a whole road, but here in the UK, you need to go to the right channel, it can cost a lot of money and stress. But hopefuly in the coming future, we will be able to do more.

LABO will be premired in london this Summer. Keep intouch as we are yet to bring you more news about this exciting Nollywood movie.

We indeed love our celebs, mostly when they try different looks and style. It’s really good to try different hair colours, from Black to Hazle, blond, red, blond/black, pink and you just name it. It’s  good to know what works and what doesn’t.

Lets take a look at our daring celebrities and the different hair colours they have won over the years.

Tonto Dike: According to our research, she is the Only Nollywood celebritiy who has tryed more than three hair coloures in the past years.

Rukky SandaRukky Sanda

Rukky Sanda: Rukky is one one the greatest hair colour explorers in Nollywood. The bebe dazzles, and she is not afraid to spice up her hair coloure.

Omotola Jakadine Ekinde: has currently got a stylests and hair advicer. she seem to stick to one hair colour (brunet) and it fits her so well. Days are gone when she dares different hair colours. she rocked blond thou, …well almost.

Genevive Nnaji: Genevive is one of the most Nollywood females who sticks to the same hair coloure. It will be amazing to see her try out more colour other than Hazel.

Monalisa Chinda: Monalisa is very fair and can get away with many hair colours and still sustain her beauty. We would like to see red on her. but maybe she is too old for that now.

Nadia Buari: Just like Monalisa, Nadia is very fair and can get away with more hair colours. but it seems like she is not a hair explorer.

Vyonne Nelson: This chick is the queen of brazilian and Indian hair, she is never seen without it. but its good to see her with other hair styles and colours. the Afro looks fab on her. we hope to see her with more coloures thou because she is a huge fashion icon.
