Award-winning comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has tendered an apology to singer Davido for making an insensitive joke about him.

Hours ago, AY got himself in trouble after a viral clip of him shading Davido surfaced online.

During a recent performance, he made Davido the subject of his joke as he commented on Davido’s multiple baby mamas.

He described the singer as having a “small pen!s,” which he uses to father children with different women.

AY further compared his own situation, claiming to possess a “big d!ck” but having fathered only two children with considerable gaps between their births.

He expressed his bewilderment at how Davido could attract so many baby mamas despite what he considered to be a small penis.

This particular joke did not land well with many netizens and Nigerians, who found it offensive and inappropriate.

They criticized AY for making such personal and potentially hurtful remarks about Davido and his family situation. Some believed that his comedic approach crossed the line and was in poor taste.

Now taking to his Instagram, Ay noted how Davido had all right to be angry with him, especially with the way blogs twisted it.

He noted how it is always a learning experience for everyone in the entertainment business, and he deserves every backlash or negative thought coming his way for the joke that was badly delivered.

Begging him not to reason it, he declared that he remains Davido’s number one fan.

“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of the US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.

Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido”.

Recall that his wife, Mabel Makun, had defended him against criticism over the joke.

She slammed those who disrespect elders, describing it as scary and urging them to do better.
