Davido’s first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has dropped a bombshell, telling the world that she is in the process of changing her daughter’s surname from Adeleke to Momodu simply because she is the one playing both fatherly and motherly roles in their daughter’s life. I can’t wait to change my daughter’s last name as I play the role of Mom and Dad’, She disclosed during a chat with some of her fans on Snapchat. When one of her fans asked her to write with caution as her comments might be misinterpreted, Sophia replied, ‘Our elders say the truth is bitter. I haven’t even started.”
All this is coming just weeks after Sophia celebrated her daughter’s 8th birthday on May 5th, and Davido was away and ‘NO SHOW’. Neither did he celebrate or Acknowledge his daughter’s birthday on social media platforms either. Sophia Momodu dropped the news of her daughter’s name change after a video of Davido describing how he met his wife Chioma twelve years ago, before he became famous and before Sophia and his other baby mamas entered his life, went viral. In March of 2023, Sophia Momdou granted an interview where she revealed that her biggest fear had already happened to her because she never wanted to raise her daughter alone.
Many are finding it hard to believe that Davido is not a good and active father just because he missed and did not Acknowledge his first daughter’s 8th birthday. Is Sophia Momodu bitter and ranting simply because Davido got married, or is she honestly telling her truth?
