This year, the 5th IARA Awards will take place in London on Saturday 22nd September at Hilton Hotel Canary Wharf, London, E14 9SH celebrating the hard work of those in the Art and Entertainment industry.

Almost 400 guests are expected to attend this star-studded award ceremony which includes prominent figures from BBC Films, top producers, actors, artists, fashion designers, actress, media personalities and diplomatic leaders.

The International Achievement Recognition Awards were founded in 2014 as a way to recognize and celebrate the achievements of those in Theatre, Music, Film, TV and Fashion. The IARA focuses on encouraging the honesty, equality, fair treatment and inclusion of all artists within the industry. Their main goal at IARA is to inspire the future generation to develop, unleash their potential and thrive within their chosen fields.

IARA founder, Helen Imuaphe, makes it clear that the IARA awards are designed to respect and promote diversity for artists around the globe. She strongly believes that artists should be held in equal esteem regardless of race, sex or orientation and regardless of the field in which they work: working behind the scenes on a film contributes as much as an actor in front of the camera.

Helen Imuaphe explains, “It is imperative for us to impact lives in a positive manner, lift others up as we climb the ladder of success and be the best we can ever be.”

What Makes IARA Different?

Other awards focus on a specific sector within the arts but IARA promotes inclusion by bringing everyone together under one roof. At IARA, it is imperative that artists are celebrated together after all almost all Art and Entertainment projects are a collaborative effort among a variety of different people and professions.
The IARAs have celebrated the talents of many popular artists, proving it’s credibility among other prestigious ceremonies.

Previous award winners include: Adekunle Gold, South African Actress Terry Pheto, Charles Venn, Anthony Boyle (Harry Potter) EastEnders Actor Danny Walter, Nse Ikpe Etim, Joshua Kane, British Breakthrough Actor Paapa Essiedu, “Murdered By Father” & ITV drama “Kirk” actress Kiran Sonia Sawar, OC Ukeje, Sandra & Sandi Of Gogglebox, Reggie N Bollie XFactor Finalist, HolbyCity & Strictly Come Dancing star Chizzy Akudolu, Dream Girls Star Adam J Bernard and many more.
