Joe Igbokwe, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state has reacted to Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) leading in the Anambra governorship election conducted last weekend.
In a Facebook post he shared, Igbokwe stated that the Igbos will continue to be onlookers for refusing to ”connect to the centre.” He also said that he felt that Igbos would have moved past ethnic politics and work to connect to the centre to meet other Nigerians.
Igbokwe wrote;
I HAD THOUGHT THAT IGBO WILL MOVE BEYOND ETHNIC POLITICS AND WORK TO CONNECT TO THE CENTER TO MEET OTHER NIGERIANS BUT ife ji Ndigbo jisi ha ike. WE WILL CONTINUE TO BE ONLOOKERS.
