During the Western Conference semifinal matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Cuban-owned Dallas MavericksLil Wayne and Mark Cuban traded insults like the NBA trades players.

During Game 4 of the seven-game series, the decade-old tensions between these two arose on Twitter when Lil Wayne, who is longtime friends with Suns point guard Chris Paul, tweeted that Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic is “a ho” on May 8.

Lil Wayne didn’t waste any time in retaliating against Cuban, tweeting the following day, “Mark Cuban don’t make me get u [sic] smacked boy U [sic] playin w me?? I’m going to p- in your fkn mouth.” The tweet has since been deleted.

A long time feud between the rapper and team owner

Though the two’s feud may appear new to many, it dates back to 2011, according to Fox Sports 1 commentator and Undisputed host Skip Bayless.
