The multiple Grammy Award winner opened up on the ways she is supporting the movement, noting that she has been working with some youth organizations to support those protesting.

Her statement reads:

“I am heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria. There has to be an end to SARS.

“We have been working on partnerships with youth organizations to support those protesting for change. We are collaborating with coalitions to provide emergency healthcare, food, and shelter.

“To our Nigerian sisters and brothers, we stand with you.”

Beyonce reaction is coming days after Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, who worked with the Brown Skin Girl crooner on her visual album ‘Black Is King’, had called on the star and her team to use their voices and platforms to raise awareness about the situation in the country.

It also comes on the same day #EndSARS Protest at Lekki Tollgate, Lagos turned violent as armed military personnel stormed demonstration grounds in the middle of the night and fired live ammunitions at protesters.
