Nigerians finally get to see and know more about his 30-year-old beautiful wife, Perri Shakes-Drayton. She came to Nigeria for the first to receive her husband after the show’s finale. Perri as popularly known is a British Olympian born to parents who are initially from Grenada. The Athlete couple got married in a magical Buckinghamshire ceremony in June 2019.
Mike met Perri for the first time in Floria during a sports event. He lived in the States before moving to the UK and starting a relationship with the Olympic champ. According to OK Magazine UK, He popped the question to Perri at The Royal Opera House in 2018. And ever since then, the lovebirds have been growing in their careers from strength to strength. Mike got whisked into the BBNaija house before he could plan his Honeymoon, leaving his new wife Perry to fend for herself for a whole 100 days.
Perri isn’t a stranger to reality shows. The Olympian took part in ITV’s Dancing on Ice 10th series in 2018.
The British High Jump Champion is also into business. He is the founder of the first black-owned cigar line in the United Kingdom called Aireyys. According to BBNaija, Mike said the highest point in his life was the day he got married to the love of his life Perri. The lowest point in his life was being banned from representing Nigeria at the 2018 Commonwealth Games because he represented Great Britain 10 years before the competition. The incident made him ineligible to represent Nigeria in 2018. How sad!
