The long awaited meet between legendary American rapper Kanye West and popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy has finally been struck, and it was indeed worth the wait.
Kanye West finally met with Burna Boy for the first time after years of anticipation within the music industry about the two powerhouse meeting to clear the air over their intertwined music records titled Ye.
The gist can be traced back to two years ago when in June 2018, Kanye West released his studio album ‘Ye,’ which title coincided with Burna Boy’s hugely successful single known also as ‘Ye’ released six month earlier.
It didn’t take long before Burna Boy’s Ye started to cross borders back in the States to rival that of Kanye, leading to both acts being mistaken for each other on multiple occasions by music lovers who struggled to distinguish their respective songs on digital music streaming platforms.
Now the Ye crooners has finally come face-to-face at the Yeezy Paris fashion week held on Monday, March 2, 2020, where Kanye was unveiling his fall 2020 ready-to-wear collection.
In a video shared on Instagram, the two superstars were seen exchanging pleasantries as they hugged and smiled towards each other.
Kanye and Burna needed no introduction as they both showed great respect to each other and had the last laugh over the confusion their individual project title had caused.
