Kitenge Festival UK is London’s premier African cultural event with an aim to unite, educate and promote African fashion, culture, business & the arts in the UK. The one-day event is a unique platform which showcases Africa’s valuable and distinctive heritage in a carnival atmosphere whilst rejuvenate communities and instilling a sense of African pride. Now in its 7th year, the event has grown exponentially drawing local and international crowds and vendors.
The importance of empowering Kitenge Festival UK’s role in the community is very important for all our social responsibility. This event is aimed at strengthening community cohesion, peer promotion and bringing artists together, promoting small business enterprises, empowering those participating through motivational speakers and transforming lives through youth initiatives and annual fundraising events to help victims of domestic abuse in the community through our charity program Hope Alive Mission.
The event appeals to the general public and will be attended by influential figures, community leaders, movers and shakers, tastemakers that take active roles in setting the mould for style, cultural trends and overall ingenuity within the African Community. Our goal is to bring together bright minds, industry insiders to give talks that are idea- focused on a wide range of subjects to foster business, learning, inspiration and provoke conversations.
