Babatunde Dada, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been reportedly killed by new converts on Tuesday, December 2, in FESTAC Town, in the Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos state, whom his church had embraced.
Abolarinwa Olatunbosun, a member of the bereaved family reported that the tragedy has been tabled to the police, and the police swang into action immediately by arresting one of the suspects.
The ungrateful converts according to reports who were responsible for the gruesome murder of the cleric new were said to have been a first-timer a Sunday before the tragedy. The killers were reported to have jumped out during an altar call and given their lives to Jesus.
The RCCG housed them in its yard after they claimed to have nowhere to go and after a few days, they reportedly murdered the Pastor in cold blood.
Bereaved Cleric’s wife Speaks
According to the woman, the wife of the cleric Bose said she had called her husband on the day of the tragedy and he confirmed to be home as soon as possible.
Her words:
“My husband was killed on December 2 at the church. He was the admin/accounts officer, as well as the parish pastor.
“I was not with him when he was killed, but I was told that they collected money from him. I heard that those who killed him were new converts.”
