Nigerian celebrity blogger and media mogul, Linda Ikeji have shared an interesting story of how rats inspired her to purchase a house in Banana Island.
According to the mother of one, the frustration of having to share her former rented apartment in Surulere with rodents led her to realize how super rich she was.
Linda told her story at an event. She recounted the particular day while she was blogging from home and rats kept roaming round the sitting room, making squeaky noises. The noises were so distracting that she became fed up and went house hunting the flowing day.
The 39-year old would splash a whopping $2.5m (N907.5m) on her amazing condo in Banana Island, the most expensive and luxurious part of Lagos.
She wrote: “How rats made me realize I was rich and inspired me to go buy my own house. After they chased me out of my sitting room one day, I said to myself, ‘I’m too rich to be sharing space with rats, goddammit!’ . Two months later, I was living in a fresh, brand new home in Banana Island, Ikoyi. What do rats look like again? ”
