Lockdown: ‘I Have no Money to Feed’ – Actor Mike Godson Appeals to Osinbajo For Aid

Top Nollywood actor Mike Godson has issued a plea to Nigerian government for aid during the coronavirus lockdown.

Mike Godson says the coronavirus lockdown is gravely affecting his welfare in an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari‘s led administration.

The movie star took to his Instagram page where he penned an open letter to the vice president of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo appealing for financial assistance from him.

In his letter, Mr. Godson first commended the government on on how it has gone about handling the coronavirus pandemic in the country with the lockdown order. However, he stated that the ‘stay at home’ order has dried up all his sources of income, making it difficult for him to feed.

Mike Godson has shared how the coronavirus lockdown is gravely affecting his welfare in an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration.

According to him, he just finished the last soup in his house and has no idea where the next meal will come from.

He said’

“Your excellency the vice president federal republic of NIGERIA. Dear sir, My name is “Mike Godson” I’m a Nigerian Actor with the Nigerian film industry. Sir, We have been instructed by the federal and state government to strictly avoid social gatherings and stay in our various houses, due to the spread of the virus,”

“I must commend the federal and state government levels for the aggressive measures put in place to ensure the country’s safety. But sir, the hunger in the land has finally reached my house. As I write this letter, I have just finished eating my last pot of soup and there’s no hope for another one as my source of income has been put on hold until further notice.”

Mike Godson says the ‘stay at home’ order has dried up all his sources of income, making it difficult for him to feed.

Godson went on to seek for directive from the vice president on how to access his own portion of the federal government covid-19 relief fund.
