Congratulations are in order for music couple Adekunle Gold and Simi on the arrival of their first child.
On Sunday, June 8, 2020, singer Adekunle Gold and his musician wife Simi took to social media to announce that their highly anticipated baby has been born – a G I R L.
The awesome news was made known on the respective Instagram pages of the husband and wife.
In her post, Simi shared a photo of the newborn being held by her doting husband. She also revealed her baby girl’s name as Adejare with the caption of the post while noting that she was birthed on Saturday.
“Adejare. It’s like free-falling – this unending, soul snatching, infinite, mind-boggling love. Deja, my baby girl, I got you. I promise. Now and forever. So help me God. ❤️ 5.30.2020,” she wrote.
Adekunle on the other hand, couldn’t hide his joy of being a father for the first time. The latest daddy in town was overwhelmed with happiness as he penned an emotional note that expressed how he felt when he set eyes on his daughter for the very first time.
He wrote: “It’s been a lot right? I know. The violence against women, against black people and this pandemic, was just too much, I had to log out for a bit. I had to check out to prepare a healthy mind and safe space to welcome my child into the world.”
Congratulations to Adekunle Gold and Simi who tied the knot in a beautiful but private wedding ceremony back in 2019.
