Former US first lady, Michelle Obama will have an on-stage conversation with renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at London Royal Festival Hall on December 3rd about Obama’s new memoir, “Becoming”.

The event which is dubbed an exclusive appearance is one not to be missed will be modelled conversation about Michelle Obama’s early life and career, her reinvention of the role of First Lady, and her ongoing activities since leaving the White House.

The appearance is part of her international tour to promote her new memoir, Becoming.

Publishers Penguin Random House will be hosting the former US first lady at the UK event at the Southbank Centre which will see her in conversation with best-selling author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

An advocate of young people and access to education, Obama will be donating 300 free tickets to secondary school pupils from across the UK and some local charities.

The venue seats just over 2,700 people and all audience members will receive a hardback copy of Obama’s highly anticipated book Becoming.

The memoir charts Obama’s rise from the South Side of Chicago to her role in the White House. It features her reflections on both her triumphs and her disappointments, as well as the lessons she has learned along the way.

The event which takes place on Monday, December 3 is set to be a sell-out.

Ticket prices will start from £30 TO £125.

Tickets to the event will go on sale exclusively to Southbank Centre members at 10am on Wednesday, November 7. The general public will be able to purchase tickets from Thursday, November 8.
