Despite the Clash among the Igbo’s and Hausas in Nigeria at the moment, Miss Ugochi Mitchel Ihezue an undergraduate from the University of Benin emerged winner of the biggest pageant pagent contest in Nigeria (MBGN) 2017.
The Pagent in its, 30th year saw, Ugochi beat 35 other contestants to the crown for Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria. Miss Plateau (2nd runner-up), Miss Oyo (3rd runner-up) Miss Bayelsa (4th runner-up), Miss Sokoto and were the other top 5 finalists.
The winner of the 2015 MBGN, Unoaku Anyadike another Igbo girl had been the reigning queen for two years as the pageant organised by Silverbird Entertainment did not hold in 2016.
Other awards won by contestant were; the Most photogenic award is given to Miss Anambra, Amity award given to Miss Yobe and Best Traditional costume went to Miss Sokoto and the Best evening outfit won by Miss Bayelsa.
This ladies are not from this states but have been chosen to represent this states to make up the 36 states in Nigeria.
