#blackmirror Not to long ago it happened to me that I would walk into various fashion model agencies and I would immediately be compared to that one or two black model that they had on the roster. Even though I was told by those agencies that I have an amazing look and wish they could represent me, they already have a black model. Besides having an abundance of white models. It seemed as if one or two black models on the roster are enough to represent us all. When you are told that, trust me, it feels bizarre. Check out my full story now on the blog at www.secretofdd.com or link in bio. I've been working on this project for a while, for the sake of our new generation. A Call For Diversity!. The  model state that she is tired of being turned down for jobs she knows she is qualified for simply because she is black and the reply she always gets We already Have one black Model and there is Nothing Different about You but then there are 100’s of the white models. She is encouraging the fashion industry to take a good hard look at its racial bias, through a powerful photo series that holds a ‘Black Mirror’ up to famous campaigns.

Deddeh Howard collaborated with her photographer boyfriend Raffael Dickreuter to recreate some of the world’s biggest modelling campaigns – including ones by Dolce & Gabbana and Victoria’s Secret – as ‘a call for more diversity’ in the industry, in a series called Black Mirror.

She Really proves with this stunning Images she has recreated to Show just as amazing a Black Model could work the look and we must say she really did that and shined.

Check out some of the Amazing looks she Recreated!

Howard’s posts have hit a chord on Instagram, with plenty of praise from commenters.

Howard said gathering the right clothes and accessories was 'quite difficult', but definitely 'worthwhile'.

Howard has first hand experience of the fashion industry’s bias towards white models.

Howard said the series, which took about three months to make, was inspired by the discrimination she faced as a model.

'There are many beautiful black models and they are not represented the way they should be,' she said

Despite Black Mirror only having been live for a short period of time, Howard said she was thrilled at the response.

For example, it took two months to find a similar motorcycle for the re-creation of the Guess advert featuring Gigi Hadid.

We are pretty sure after this, she will defo be getting those bookings coming in and most important, she has once again stood up for all black models and hopefully that is looked into
