London based award movie maker, Obi Emelonye premiered his latest film, Oxford Gardens on Friday 18th of December at Genesis Cinemas, The Palms, Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. The fast rising movie director and producer is renowned for his unique movie techniques and high standards. He keep raising the bar for Africa and Nollywood movies, Oxford Gardens is no exception.
Oxford Gardens is a film that tells a story about Ngoli Okafor (Julius) who is an unfortunate ex-boxer, in search for absolution, while Ngozi Thompson (Munachi) is an attractive, vibrant young lady with a dark secret Their fortunate meeting on a park in Oxford Gardens one summer afternoon, sets in motion an unpredictable friendship and a rejuvenating journey through their respective fears; and through hope, faith and love to a great endurance without complaint at whatever life throws at them.
Oxford Gardens features; Ngoli Okafor, a former boxing champion in United States, Ngozi Thompson Igwebike, Savanah Roy, Iffy Chukwu, Princess Abiye, Frank Ani, Nnenna Ani and D’Richy Emelonye.
The successful movie premiere had on the red carpet some popular Nollywood actors including; Uru Eke, Anthony Monjaro, OC Ukeje, Fred Amata, Wangi Mba Uzoukwu, Teco Benson, Director Mnet West Africa among others.
