Nigerian award-winning singer Burna Boy has revealed why he doesn’t chase clout with his giveaway.

In an Instagram live session with his fans, he stated that contrary to people’s perception, he does lots of charity work. According to him, he does his giveaways mostly offline because he believes the people who are in dire need of help are not on social media.

He made it known that he does giveaways to places that really matter, to people that really need them, and most of them are not on the internet.

“I do giveaway to places that really matter, to people that really need it & most of them are not on the internet”.

A few weeks ago, Burna Boy won the praise of many for renovating an orphanage home in Port Harcourt.

The Grammy singer, through the DashMe Foundation, had renovated Cheshire Orphanage Home, a home dedicated to providing care and support for individuals with disabilities or special needs.

His sweet gesture was made known by executive coach and public speaker, Mercy Bello Abu, in a statement.

This came a few days after his rival, Davido, announced his yearly donation to the orphanages.

He revealed that through his foundation, he would be donating $300 million to orphanage homes. He stated that the donation is his yearly contribution to the nation.

A netizen who didn’t believe him compared the singer to Funke Akindele’s movie, She Must Be  Obeyed.” He stated that the singer was only doing things for publicity.

Replying to him, Davido shared screenshots of his credit alert to his foundation, which would be disbursing the donation to orphanages.

In other news, Burna Boy reacted to the viral video of him rocking Davido’s 30BG chain before his rise to fame.

Singer Jaywon had previously claimed during an interview that Davido gifted him a 30BG chain, which was to inspire Burna Boy, and that was Davido’s contribution to his career.

Reacting to it, Burna Boy promised to address the audio chain and many more, but first of all, he wanted Coko Bar’s money to expire first.
