Fortune, a prolific Nigerian Celebrity photographer who is more popularly known as Davido’s personal photographer has reportedly passed away in Lagos during a photoshoot.
Singer Davido has taken to social media to pen a tribute to his friend and personal photographer Fortune. Davido said he went from a complete stranger to one of his besties and never left his side. The singer felt sad for not fulfilling all his promises but assures Fortune that he will make sure he is never forgotten, hinting there is music about the photographer in the making with the hashtag #ForturneShotItAll.
The renowned photographer who turned 24 years of age on July 10th this year reportedly drowned during a photoshoot at Lekki, Lagos on Tuesday, September 21st evening.
Fortune Ateumunname who is from Owerri, Imo State, grew up in Bariga, Lagos and is the brain behind most of Davido’s iconic photos both personal and concert pictures. Fortune can be described as a talented photographer who knew his craft.
Apart from Davido, he has taken photos of celebrities such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Dj Cuppy, Flavour, Patoranking, Naira Marley and the list goes on. He often travels with celebrities as a personal photographer and singer Davido happens to be his biggest client.
Fortune Ateumunname however has a special love for Davido. He revealed in 2019 that the FIA singer changed his life for good.
