It looks like Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, is changing her fashion style after receiving advice from her parents.

Known for her love of short dresses and skirts, the self-described “Sabi girl” disclosed that her mother had given her the advice to start wearing longer skirts instead of shorter ones.

She revealed this when posting a video of herself wearing a two-piece set that had a crop top and skirt that matched her thigh length on X, the former Twitter. Adding a caption, she said:

“My mom said I should start wearing longer skirts,”

This comes days after she was criticized for wearing a short and revealing outfit to the 66th Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles over the weekend.

She seemingly took heed to the criticisms as she attended an event on Tuesday, February 6, and opted to wear a longer skirt with a slit at the front and a silver bralette instead of her usual short skirts.

She then teased Nigerians that she wears long skirts too and shared the photos as proof. Ayra Starr wrote:

“I wear long skirt oh 🙃.”

In other news, Nkechi Blessing has warned her friends off her lover and all her exes, implying that she doesn’t trust them or herself.

The actress stated that her friends shouldn’t be allowed to be friends with her man, and definitely not her former lovers.

Nkechi Blessing stated this in reaction to a viral post about a lady who snatched her friend’s boyfriend, got pregnant for him, and dared her to do her worst.
