Big Brother 2019 winner Mercy Eke has opened up about some dark incidents surrounding her pre-birth that is sure to leave fans and followers feeling shocked.
Mercy Eke said her mother was at the brink of terminating the pregnancy that gave rise to her due to immense family pressure.
The reality star made this known during the premiere of her joint reality TV show with co-former BBNaija housemate, Ike.
During the premiere of the show, Mercy Eke talked about her family background including how her mother made several attempts to abort the pregnancy that gave birth to her due to pressure from relatives.
Speaking about the incident, Mercy stated that her mother once told her that she tried to get rid of the pregnancy due to pressure from family members who made her believe she already had too many children.
She went on to note that the circumstances surrounding her pre-birth are what challenges her to become a successful person in life.
“My mom told me that, when she was carrying me, there was this aunt of mine, my dad’s cousin, who came and asked her, ‘Are you still pregnant after all these kids you have?” she said.
Mercy Eke remains the first and only woman to emerge winner of the Big Brother Naija reality show following her triumph at the fourth season of the reality competition tagged ‘Pepper Dem Gang’.
