Nigerian Ex-president Jonathan, Meets With Schoolmates After 40 Years

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan had a wonderful time with some of his old schoolmates from the University of Port Harcourt In a what some may call a reunion, the former Nigerian president met again with those he called unique Uniport class of 1981 Jonathan said he and such persons who saw themselves again after 40 years visited some notable places in Bayelsa.

Yenagoa, Bayelsa – Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Friday, November 26, had a reunion with some of his schoolmates from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Via his Facebook page, Jonathan noted that the event which took place in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital, came forty years after graduation in 1981.

The former Nigerian leader said he and his old friends used the opportunity to visit some memorable places like the first oil well in Oloilbiri, Ogbia LGA of the state.

His words:

“It was a delight to reconnect with my former schoolmates from the University of Port Harcourt, forty years after graduation at the ongoing Unique Uniport Class of 1981 Reunion in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. “Today was an eventful day as we visited notable sites in Bayelsa like the first oil well in Oloilbiri, Ogbia LGA Bayelsa State the Oil and Gas Park, a visit to our former lecturer Prof. E. J Alagoa, the pioneer Dean of Humanities at the University of Port Harcourt before proceeding to the Palace of King A.J Turner at Opume in Ogbia Kingdom for lunch and cultural fiesta.”
