Nigerian Migrant Jumps Under A Moving Train After His Request for Italian Resident Permit was Denied

Prince Jerry, a 25-year-old Nigerian committed suicide on Monday, January,28  by jumping under a train in Tortona, Genoa, Italy after his request for a residency permit for humanitarian reasons was rejected.

Monsignor Giacomo Martino, the head of association Migrants revelled earlier today. Martino, who is in charge of the association that helps migrants in the port-city, announced the horrible incident in a chat group with his parishioners.

The message was subsequently shared on social media Wednesday night and published by local newspapers on Thursday.

Jerry’s funeral will be held Friday morning, at the Chiesa dell’Annunziata in Genoa.

Some of Jerry’s friends have taken to Facebook to mourn him.
